Organizer Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This policy applies to anyone who creates events, sells tickets or runs an organizer page on Veenue ("you", the "Organizer"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Questions: events@veenue.io.

1. Becoming an organizer

Apply from the Account tab in the app. We may ask for identity or business details, and we can approve, delay or decline applications.

Some applications are approved automatically so you can start quickly. Until our team has confirmed your account, your payouts are held (see section 6).

Give accurate information and keep it up to date, including the Wave number you want to be paid on.

2. Your responsibilities

You're fully responsible for your event: planning, the venue, the line-up, security, permits, age limits, accessibility and compliance with local law.

Event details must be accurate: date, time, location, prices, capacity and anything a guest needs to know. If something changes, update the event and tell your guests promptly.

Veenue is a ticketing and promotion platform. We don't organise, host or co-host your events.

3. Tickets and pricing

You set your ticket types (for example general, VIP, early bird), prices, quantities and sales windows.

Guests can cancel within 24 hours of buying if the event is at least 48 hours away (see the Customer Policy). Guests can transfer a ticket once, up to 2 hours before the event.

4. Fees

Veenue charges 5% of the ticket price per ticket sold. That covers:

  • Wave payment processing: 2% (1% at checkout and 1% at payout)
  • Veenue service fee: 3%

There are no sign-up, listing or monthly fees. Fees are deducted automatically from your sales.

Example: on a 10,000 CFA ticket, you receive 9,500 CFA (500 CFA in fees: 200 Wave + 300 Veenue). On a GMD 200 ticket, you receive GMD 190 (GMD 10 in fees: GMD 4 Wave + GMD 6 Veenue).

We may change fees with advance notice by email or in the app. Events published before a fee increase keep their original rate.

5. Your balance

Each sale is added to your balance 24 hours after purchase, once the guest's cancellation window has closed.

Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks are deducted from your balance.

6. Payouts

You request payouts in the app, and they're paid to your Wave account.

  • Before your event ends, you can withdraw part of your settled sales early, so you can pay for the event. The share is currently 50% and may change.
  • After your event ends, the rest becomes available.
  • Payouts for organizers who haven't been confirmed by our team are held until confirmation.
  • The Wave number is fixed when you make a request. After you change your Wave number, new payouts wait 48 hours as a safety check.
  • We review payouts and may pause one if we suspect fraud, an error or a dispute.

7. Cancellations and changes

If you cancel an event, every guest is refunded in full automatically. Tell your guests and us as early as you can.

If you've taken an early payout for an event, you can't cancel it yourself. Contact events@veenue.io and we'll handle the refunds with you. Money you were paid early that's needed for refunds must be returned to Veenue.

If you postpone an event, set the new date in the app. Guests may ask for a refund within 72 hours of being told.

You may offer full or partial refunds at your own discretion, including after the event.

8. Your team and your page

You can invite people to help run an event (for example to scan tickets at the door) and to help manage your organizer page as editors or managers. You're responsible for what your team does on Veenue. Only the page owner can invite or remove team members.

Posts, polls, photos and replies on your page must follow our Community Guidelines.

9. Guest data

You'll see limited information about your guests (such as names and ticket status) so you can run your event. Use it only for that event. Don't sell it, share it, or message guests for unrelated purposes without their consent.

10. What we can do

We may review, edit, pause or remove events and pages, refund guests directly, hold payouts, or suspend accounts in cases of misleading listings, guest complaints, fraud, technical errors or breaches of our policies or the law.

Events that promote illegal activity, hate or violence, or that put people at risk, will be removed.

11. Promotions

From time to time we may run organizer promotions (for example bonuses paid by Veenue). Each has its own terms, which we'll show you, and we can end it at any time.

12. Acceptance

When you publish an event, you confirm you've read and accept this policy. Breaking it can lead to event removal, held payouts, account suspension or legal action.
